I've started getting active lately so I've been paying more attention to my pedometer. A question arose... How accurate is it? I noticed that when I walk with it in my pocket, my phone bounces off my leg twice in baggy shorts. So I decided to take it out of my pocket during my walk tonight and count steps along with the phone. It seemed pretty accurate so far, but has anyone noticed the phone counting steps at all when it shouldn't be? I really want to believe it's right.

it just increases whenever the device shakes
try shaking it a few times while not moving and the steps will still increase

still one of my favourite fratures though😉

And if you notice right when you start walking, it doesn't count until the phone "verifies" that you are in fact walking. Then it'll catch up and start counting... cool feature. And I still use the heartrate monitor on the back too before and after my runs. It's not just a "gimmick"

I've found it to be as accurate as any other pedometer out there. As stated above, pedometers work by being "shaken" or "bouncing". When you start walking, it won't start right away because you could just be moving in your chair. It does catch up though, and when I've watched it while walking it keeps step with me pretty well. When I stop, it might add one or two more steps but nothing significant.

I love it. I have it on my lock screen and just forget about it until the end of the day...
