S5 Speech to text repeating itself
I have a Sprint S5, Android 5.0. I am so frustrated with the phone I swear I will switch over to another system.
Occasionally, in the phones message app, I will use text to speech to send messages. While this typically works fine... sometimes after I push send the message will repeat into the next field. This is annoying, but it no big deal. As I can select, select all, cut... and bingo... it's gone.
OTOH, what literally drives me insane. I actually bruised my finger tip, in a forceful fit of rage, trying to get the phone to stop duplicating.... when...
I use a Facebook app. Like most people do. Me and my coworkers have a group set up to exchange work related info. I will be 1,000+ words into a post, while driving (with several start and stop points where I switch back and forth to the keyboard for minor corrections)... And the thing will just go nuts... sometimes at 20 words... some times at 200... sometimes at 2000....
It will repeat EVERYTHING i have typed in the entire post. It will not keep formatting, (doesn't use paragraphs, doesn't use punctuation) And the worst part is... it will start doing it...at a rate of about two-4 words per second... I see it doing it... and there is NO WAY TO STOP IT.
It's like the screen locks up, and putting the phone to sleep does not fix it. It will just keep going until the entire freaking post is repeated.
And unlike the easy "select all" fix in messaging, I can't do that... because it is in the SAME data field as my OP. I literally have to pull over, stop the vehicle, then sit and hold the back/delete key for about 45 seconds (paying VERY close attention, to not delete my OP)... or re-record the entire thing... Either way about 25% of the time, it bends me so bad, that I would have been better off, not using it at all.
It has basically made text to speech (a huge selling point for me)... worthless.
