I bought my S5 on the 26th of February 2015 and on May 11th 2015 it stopped working (within 2.5 months). I answered a message on Whatsapp put the phone down, went to the bathroom and came back to see that the phone was off. I tried to restart it, nothing happened. I took the battery out for a bit and put it back in again nothing. I plugged the phone in to the charger nothing. I plugged it into the computer again nothing. The phone was no hot or anything when I put it down to go to the bathroom and it wasn't when I came back. It also had at leas 90% charge. I tried a different battery from my brothers working S5 that didn't work. So it is not a battery issue. I wondering about Samsung's warranty, because right now I am located in the Caribbean and bought the phone there. However when I contacted Samsung support I got a message referring me to support centers in the Middle East. I definitely can't send this phone to Samsung Middle East so, I'm wondering if Samsung US would honor the warranty. If that is possible I would carry the phone there to be fixed when I go back there for school in August.
So please let me know how Samsung warranty works.
