S6 contacts keep randomly disappearing and reappearing.

My wife's S6 has been experiencing an issue with contacts lately. Random contacts will randomly disappear and reappear. There seems to be no pattern or reason for it. It happens one day but not the next. She has all her contacts backed up on Google and Verizon. Syncing doesn't help at all. Any thoughts?
