Best Buy has it for a dollar. I have a upgrade that I have been waiting to use on a good deal. I had been hoping for a money maker deal, but this phone seems really nice. Would love opinions.

I wouldn't. No SD card slot. I dont like samsung edge phones because the edge is where i try and firmly grip the phone. Non removable battery. I got my xperia z3v for .99 on a 2 yr contract... That was a better match for my preferences.

Re: Should I get Samsung galaxy 6plus edge

This phone will still be good and get you through the next two years. If you don't want to be stuck on a two year contract then keep an eye out for off contract deals or a pre owned device. As mentioned above, there are other personal preferences to not go with this device compared to what's available.

What carrier are you with?

I'm surprised that you can get a 2-year contract with Verizon, still. My recollection from 6 mos. ago was that they were no longer offering contracts, and had replaced that system with 0% 24-month credit on your new phone, with monthly payments automatically added to your bill. At least, that is what I got from them on my Edge+.

As to your original question, after 6 mos. with this phone, I agree with Kramer about the "edge" part making gripping the phone difficult. And the edge features mostly go unused by me, in part because I find it difficult to swipe the edge menu onto the screen and it usually takes 2 or 3 tries. If I was doing it again I would have gotten the Note, which is basically the same phone, minus the edge stuff, plus the stylus. But that's just my take.

I should add I am using my phone without a case. I am actually gonna add a case soon because I think that will help with picking it up. (One of the big issues for me is it's hard to handle the phone without inadvertently touching the edge part of the screen, which can cause unwanted things to happen -- I think having a case will help with this especially).

How much is the S7 on contract?

Sd card slot isnt the only way to store data. DROPBOX-G.DRIVe
Onedrive. I have 32 gig with 6+ had my phone coming up on a year only used 14 gig of space and believe me with 2 grandkids 12 neices and nephews and tons of songs i could go on a few more years with no worries. Yes it is a good thing to have and I use one attached to laptop. So do I miss it? No. Is it a necessity? For some. But for me, never been a problem.

I'd go for it. I DID go for it. LOL

To be more specific, I went with the Edge+ as soon as it came out, and couldn't be happier -- and I had truly loved my Note 3.

I thought I would be bothered by no SD slot, but most of my very full card in the Note had been taken by music. Between Spotify and Cloud Player (which plays anything sitting in Dropbox or other Cloud storage), I barely have anything loaded behind some Spotify playlists.

So if you'd ask me if I'd like one on my next Edge, I'll say sure, whatever, but I honestly no longer know what I'd put on it. Your mileage will vary, but I'm floored by how little this had come to matter to me.

I find that the only time the edge gets in my way is when an app has a control on the far side of the screen, but I love how it works in my hand. No case for me.

I use NO Edge apps though. Instead, I grabbed Smart Task Launcher, which is more customizable (and works fine in any phone, not just the Edge).

The main reason I love it is because of how it looks and performs. ..but mostly because of how it looks. LOL The only phone I'll consider next is another Edge+. I'm very comfortable waiting for the 8, though, because I'm just not in any hurry to move on from this, which is now maybe my favorite tech device ever.

And just saying the 6+ is by far the best phone I ever had.
I'VE had Lg Motorola and a
Blackberry B4.
This phones the best.
And thr picture quality blows me away.
I compared some pics against my sisters S7 and its really right there with it.
Next phone Id consider an upgrade will be S6 note or S8
