Hello everyone! Have only just signed up to the forum after just beeing an avid viewer as such

Now for the reason i have signed up ha!

I've recently bought a S6 edge+ off the internet. It works fine far as i know apart from one little issue! The battery once fully charged is draining pretty damn quick. Its fine when screen locked. But with use theirs no way it would last a full day almost.

I've done various checks but im not fully certain on all the latest tips and tricks. Ive downloaded the GSam battery monitor. And in my eyes it looks like the biggeat issues are tbe percentage of cpu apps and phone radio the main cauae of drain. Heres a few pics. Does any of this look ab normal as such?

Welcome to the forums. It seems your cell signal is very weak or even nonexistent occasionally. This will drain your battery faster than usual (phone radio percentage). Check your phone signal chart in Gsam.

It's better if you use the phone until the battery percentage is about 30-40% and then check the stats. This way they will give you more details of what's going on.

Yeah, you cell signal is not the best and it will drain the battery a bit faster, specially when on mobile data as it seems your case. Also, check your display brightness level, try keeping it on auto and between 40-60%. This can make a big difference on the battery life. Which level did you set?

With the phone radio using so much as well as the screen. (Got it on low brightness already) plus lower power mode. Is their anything else thay can be done?

Why does tbe screen use 54%? Even on low and low power mode. And also the 31% app usage. Can that be sorted? When i click it theirs no actual usefull just says cpu usage.

It's normal the screen showing the highest percentage, just keep the brightness on auto and low next cycle and see if it makes any difference. About the apps usage, Gsam is not very useful for this after Nougat. Better check the stock stats in settings - battery.

Also, when possible see what kind of battery life you get when connected to a WiFi network for a long time.

This is a second hand phone, right? It's possible that the battery is a bit old and lost part of its charge.

Yeah have read the screen usage being high so that's out of my hands i guess. The only other high % was 'Phone radio' is that signal? Or is it something else that can be changed/ fixed?

Yep the phone is second hand and fine apart from the quick battery drain. Maybe it has lost some charge. But with them being non removable it's an issue. Can they be replaced properly ie via Samsung do you know?

Yeah, that high percentage is related to the weak cell signal, specially if you are on mobile data.

Check your stock battery stats (not Gsam) and see which apps show up to of the list.

Will check tomorrow as it's currently flat lol. Will use it down till about 30% ish and check battery stats. Not too sure how to on the new android version (not stock stats anyway) But i imagine it's still u der settings- battery. Cheers for the replies today

Am currently using my other android phone and all though the battery is slightly better. Still having radio issues.

This one says Screen 25%. Radio 40%.

Will try the new phone again once charged. Is their anything as such you want me to do? Or shall i use it normal untill 30-40% and than show battery and app usage stats?
