S6 edge hardware

Ive bought an s6 edge charging port off ebay after mine broke, the first one had a piece loose, so I told the seller and they sent me a new one. However this one is exactly the same! I want to know if this is an important component or just a sticky pad. I hope I can post a picture but if not; its a white square directly below the connector that connects to the main board, it completely detatched itself.

I'll try and show you.

If its just a sticky pad I'll use it and reassemble the phone.

It's actually a black square with a white peel off paper protector.
