s6 edge lock screen timeout issue

Hey guys so after the update to marshmallow there seems to be a problem with my lock screen timeout.when I try to unlock my phone the screen timeout in like 1 second. I have changed my lock to swipe, the only way to fix this problem is if I somehow restart my phone or shake my phone at first I thought it was sensor problem but then I checked the sensors in *#0*# and all the test were fine. it happens sometimes but it's quite annoying I have tried to wipe cache partition I also tried the factory reset but neither worked. i also changed timeout setting to 2 minutes and also checked the power saver setting and I also disabled the smart stay option but I can't seem to fix the problem.it still in warranty I have used it for like 3 months. I have asked this question on xda but no one replied. Guys plz help

Hi there Atif!

I think you've already done,what we'd have suggested, the Factory reset, was the last resort, and if that didn't help, then the only other thing I can think of, is to Flash the OEM Software through Odin, if that's possible with your device.

This would be a warranty issue, I'm sure!

Thanks brother for the reply .is there going to be another bug fixing update or am I going to wait till the next android n update.are bugs associated with marshmallow the same for all s6 users or is it just coz I Google it and nobody seems to have reported this timeout issue .and is there anyway I can downgrade to lollipop without voiding the warranty

Hi

I'm sure, as with most updates....bug updates will follow. the question will remain though, as to whether or not it will fix your issue. If you have a local store that has a samsung desk....like here, we have Best Buy, and they have flashed firmware there for me in the past, for free. If you have something like this, it might be worth a trip to see if they can flash a fresh copy of the MM firmware.

Guess what I just found out, when I cover the heart rate sensor and the front light sensor at the same time with my fingers and try to unlock my phone it times out instantly ,now I have checked both the sensors and they are working fine.what do u think is this software related or hardware? Here in Pakistan the Samsung customer service is not that great but I will take it to nearest service center any way.i just wanted to know if u have ever come across or heard of such a problem like this before.
