S6 Edge turns off, right after start

Have this S6 Edge, which shows startups screen, and then turns off. Also doing it if battery is to charger or if battery is not connected.

Cannot boot into recovery either.

Might be related to a vertical line on LCD, but it worked a long while with this failure.

Welcome to Android Central! The battery might just be completely shot. I don't think phones are designed to draw power directly from the charging source -- it still has to charge up the battery first, and if the battery can't hold any charge, then the phone can't power up.
