S6 screen turns off when i put hand over the sensors at the top of the phone

how do I disable this useless and annoying feature.

does this happen at any time? even when you leave the phone on the table?
does the screen turn off or on?

I'd guess proximity sensor. The phone thinks you are holding it to your ear and turns off the screen.

Is this happen all the time or just when you are on a phone call?
