S6: TouchWiz Phone App Not Showing Missed Calls

I feel stupid asking this.

I miss a call. I get the notification and dismiss it.

If I go to the Phone app, under Recent I see all my other calls - incoming, outgoing, and rejected. But it doesn't show me my missed calls. So once I dismiss the notification I have no record of the missed call.

Google isn't helping either. Thanks in advance for any help on this fundamental question.

S6, US Verizon (SM-G910V), 5.1.1, no root.

Welcome to Android Central! Are the missed calls grouped into the Incoming Calls list?

Thank you for the response. The Phone app has a "RECENT" list (not split up by incoming/outgoing/missed/rejected etc) and missed calls do not appear at all.

you should have three tabs: logs, favorites and contacts.
the logs tab should contain all calls
what if you go to more - filter by - missed calls
try restarting the phone
or try clearing the cache or data for the phone app.
don't forget that if you clear data that will delete all entries from the calls log.

Thank you. I just called myself from my work phone (a softphone I use from my computer). I received a notification of the missed call with my number - when I pressed the notification, the Phone app came up and the number was not on the "Recent" list. When I filtered by Missed Calls, the list was empty. I went to clear the cache and I don't see it in the Application Manager.

have you checked the ALL tab?
it is there. you should have 3 Phone entries

Thank you - facepalm, I found it and cleared the cache from all 3 phone apps. However I am still seeing the same behavior.

ok. you could try a clear data
back up calls logs if you need them
or try a different phone app from the play store
if you search for phone app in play store it should find plenty
i recommend exdialer
do a phone restart after you install it and if it works then something is up with the phone app

I installed exdialer and am getting the same thing. There has to be something dumb I'm doing.

You know, that's a good question. I don't recall it ever working, but I also can't say I noticed until now.

I have Samsung Galaxy note 4 edge. The same thing just started happening to me. I have my phone off all day and I used to see missed calls in logs and notifications. Now I see neither
