S6 wifi calling

I have an s6, ive put the wifi calling feature on but how do i know its working
I am on Three network in the UK

switch airplane mode on, switch wifi on, switch wifi calling on, make a phone call

It says turn flight mode off to make a call

wifi calling is supposed to kick in when you have no reception on mobile network and you are connected to wifi. so i don't know how you could replicate that

Take you SIM card out to replicate no service then try your phone call over WiFi. That's what I had to do to prove it worked.

How will that work if theirs no sim
