S7 - APN keeps switching to data; won't stay on MMS only.

I know this is a long shot, but maybe someone knows something about this. I just switched to Red Pocket GSMA on my phone (Galaxy S7, not rooted) that uses APNs I have to set myself. I have 2, one for MMS (picture texts) and one for internet access, plus the one that was on my phone from the beginning.

The problem is that I want to keep it on the MMS one so my data is only used when I receive MMS, but my phone automatically switches to the internet APN.

If I put it on the stock APN, it does not switch to the internet APN. The problem with this is that I can get texts, but the phone won't notify me that there is an MMS to download unless I go into the individual conversation and see that there is an MMS I need to download.

I don't want my data on all of the time, but I need to get MMS notifications. I can't seem to fix this, and it's ridiculous as I don't have an unlimited data plan either so leaving it to have the data on all the time is not an option. Hours of internet research has not helped...

Download Google message app , it works over WiFi and turn data off when not in use
