Coming from a note 3 to an S7 Edge.

On my note 3, the button to the right of the "Home" was "Back", and the button to the left was "Menu". On my new S7, the button to the right is still "Back" but the button to the left brings up running apps. Is it possible to reconfigure this button to more of what I am used to? If it matters, I am running Nova Launcher on a Verizon S7 edge.

Thanks for any help

Just long press the button down on the left and the menu will pop up.

Actually, on the S7 long pressing the button on the right brings up the menu. At least on mine. Long pressing the left button brings up split screen mode.

Komobu, the loss of the menu button in favor of recent apps is to conform with Android specs. Since KitKat (or maybe earlier) all apps are supposed to have a menu button of their own, so a dedicated button is no longer needed (except for apps that haven't been updated).

If it doesn't work in your specific app then you can access the assistant menu for the menu button.
