i bought a pair of wireless headphones and i need a phone that can handle running them for long periods of time

looking at a galaxy s7 edge... i heard that it has problems with bluetooth draining it's battery though, is that true?

i will be using the headphones for 4-5 hours at a time

is this phone good enough? how long can i listen to music with said headphones ideally?

THANKYOU

Bluetooth is a radio transmitter, so it uses a lot of power. Get a powerbank, so whatever phone you get will hold up longer. (They make 30,000 mAh powerbanks, about 10 times the power in a phone battery, so one will last 10 times as long as the phone's battery. [Just don't let either the phone battery or the powerbank battery discharge to less than 40%.])

interesting. this is new to me.

so do i keep the phone and powerbank connected in my pocket all day?

I use a BT headset EVERY DAY on conference calls (maybe 5-6 hrs) and do not see a significant drop compared to wired headphones. I also have a smart watch connected 24/7 and still my main battery drain comes from my voice calls and email.
Hope this puts your mind at ease.

I stream Bluetooth in my a car an hour or so a day and don't notice any significant battery drain from one hour of usage. Is the audio you are playing stored locally or streaming? I wouldnt expect 4-5 hours of bluetooth to kill the battery especially if the screen is off most of the time.
