So i bought a s7 edge battery for my s6 edge plus and it works just like i thought. The only issue is that my verizon model cant be rooted so i cant delete the batterystats file on the device to re-calibrate the correct battery percentage. I let the phone charge to 100% and die completely 2 times already as suggested online for calibration and the battery life is still the same as with my old original battery. Whats the deal here? I ran a standard test across both batteries by wiping the device and turning brightness to the minimum, power save mode on and playing youtube videos on autoplay. Old battery died after 5 hours and 49 minutes and new s7 edge battery died after playing youtube videos on the same exact settings at 5 hours and 39 minutes. What am i doign wrong here? what is a truly proper way to get my device to have its maximum battery life? Also should mention, i can have the phone on and charge to 100% and it will show 100% but when i turn the phone off and plug it in it shows something like 85% and is not actually fully charged. anyone know what to do?
