S7 Edge - Will there ever be a 64GB & 128GB version available in the US?

All indications point to no.. If it would be available, I doubt it would be anytime soon.

Will there be a larger internal storage option S7 available anytime in the near future?

With the addition to expandable storage I don't see the need for other versions. It just clutters up inventory IMO. One mode and you can expand it up to 200GB depending on your budget. SD Cards have come down in cost so much it just easier for you to pick what you want to add.

I do if you play many games or use Gear VR. Less than 24GB free to the user is not enough considering the size of newer games, VR apps, and social media cache (Whatsapp as an example). The average 3D game like Asphalt 8 and MC4 takes over 1.5GB each. This does not help Samsung's desire to make Gear VR a common consumer device.

The 64GB model should at least be offered to consumers and allow the choice. Especially since no adoptable storage option.

You would think Google would encourage larger storage size options in order to not constrain app purchases. That, or let the consumer app juggle.

I completely agree. Regardless of SD card or not a flag ship device should be offered in 64gb to consumers. Memory is so cheap now anyways. I'm using 72gb on my 128gb s6 with 12gb coming from apps. I'm hoping I won't run into issues from lack of internal storage on the s7 edge

Yeah 32gb is not enough. This year 64gb should be base on All new smart phones. It's cool to offer options of expandable storage, but not cool to force everyone to use that. I'd much rather just have more internal storage and I think most people would agree. Bummer.

I'm one person who definitely was ready to put down my nickels and quarters for the s7 Edge. However, I'm now so into Samsung gear VR headset that there is no way I could consider a 32 gigabyte device, since the VR apps consume so much space.

Honestly I hope not. I just ordered the S7 Edge yesterday..

I agree with this.

If this were 64GB, I would strongly consider it. For now I have a 64GB MXPE and use my Note 4 as a back-up and mainly for Gear VR. I guess I kind of already have the best solution for now, but would like a phone a tad smaller and not much of a drop in display size and the AMOLED.

A 64GB S7 Edge would be sweet. Especially if the cooling design actually works for VR content.

Just hate to order a 32GB now and the 64GB be available next month.
Has anyone ever seen this with Verizon? A larger version available a month or two after launch.

If it is, it is usually announced at launch, but some note about delays on certain colors or variants. I don't really see it coming in a month or two.

If a 64GB is offered it would be months later and not likely at any rate. Verizon will already be planning for the next new devices (iPhone refresh) and Samsung will be preparing the Note. The Note seems the only slim chance for a 64GB device option. Slim (presuming there is a card slot).

As far as the media asserting that Samsung makes less margin on a 64GB model, that suggests a lack of understanding with cost and margin. Samsung and Apple make MORE margin with the higher size models. At a minimum, the mark-up is 300% for the extra flash, so their margins are MORE than fine.

The carriers probably did not push for other options in order to make it more simple in regards to SKU offerings. There are four colors already for the S7, so more SKUs to deal with. Only Apple gets away with a bunch of SKUs, but Apple controls the supply chain.

I was having issues placing a pre order today online so I called into T-Mobile... What I found interesting is when I said I wanted the s7 edge, the lady said she's showing a 32gb and 64, and which one I'd like... Unfortunately I didn't poke any further... I went with the 32 anyway since there is expandable storage and I barley use 20gb as is in storage since I stream all my music
