Hello Guys,
Looking for some kind of a real answer why these two carrier unlocked devices are not receiving timely updates like the rest of the S7's of the world. Not only lacking Nougat 7.0.1 but regular monthly patches like everyone else is getting.
I went carrier unlocked with the belief that Samsung was striking back at the carriers who traditionally take longer to publish them. That this Unlocked edition would be maintained by Samsung, as it does with the International editions.
I have reached out to Samsung, but they don't share their plan with their own support teams.
The Samsung+ forum is a joke.
Where do we, American Unlocked S7 G930U / G935U users turn for our questions?
What makes our PREMIUM priced device any less important to maintain than say the G930F? We paid the premium price for a premium experience and premium service. We have not seen the same level of "premium" as the rest of the unlocked community.
Let's be real, the customers who buy an Unbloated and Carrier Free device are the techies. The ones who want to be in the beta tests. The ones who will provide the most steady and accurate feedback. The no-nonsense crowd. We were your ace in the hole for feedback and suggestions. But, from what I've seen so far, this may cause a large number of G930U & G935U users to abandon Samsung products for the new phones by Google, currently the Pixel and the Pixel XL.
We are the customers that friends, co-workers, family and acquaintances turn to for advice on their next smart phone purchase. And with the record being created for Samsung and customer service is falling apart.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
