S7 Phone app disappeared while trying to delete voicemail notification

A

AC Question

Currently have an s7 running Nougat. I was trying to get rid of my pesky voicemail notification, as it was still in the notification bar even though I didn't have any voicemail to speak of. A thread on this forum suggested clearing the Phone app cache by going to "Phone" under the application manager, but it's not showing up there for some reason. I can access the app through the app drawer, but it's gone from the App Manager so I can't access the "clear cache" function. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Phone is a system app, and by default the system apps are usually hidden. In the App Manager, tap Menu>Show System, then look for it.
