S7 to jbl310ga headphones

Hi, I have a pair of everest 310's. I use them sucessfully listening to music, receiving phone calls and asking google questions. But when I ask it to call someone, there is silence. However, in my pocket, my phone makes the call, they answer, hear me walking, and assume that I have pocket dialled them. I have a samsung s7. When it is calling a number there is an unilluminated bluetooth icon on the screen. I have found that if I attempt a call via headphones, this icon turns into a jbl bluetooth icon and is illuminated but the sound and microphone on the phone are activated, not my headphones. If I turn icon off and on it comes through on my headphones. This obviously defeats the purpose of making a hands free call. Sooooo frustrating. Please help

Welcome to Android Central! Do the headphones require the JBL app to be installed? If not, then try uninstalling that app and see if it works better.
