S7 unlocked us version no nougat update

[AC Question]

Almost all S7 and some S6's have nougat but no word from samsung if unlocked us version S7 will get it. Samsung forums can't get answer from samsung

I would say eventually. You'll get the infamous "N" anytime
Just make sure you've all the latest security Updates and

Inquire with the phone carrier, given the Specs of your

Not that misery loves company, but my S7 on US Cellular hasn't gotten N yet either. No telling when it will ... so you're not alone. Still on December security update also.

Hey @CWinkler, I have good news! You might want to go ahead and manually check for an update, Nougat may be ready for you right now. If it isn't, it will be very soon. I hope you have a good experience with itツ

LineKill, You're right! Checked my phone about 3PM and there was an update available. Earlier in the day, my phone had gotten very hot and in just a few hours went from 100% to 40%, so I had put it on charge. Not sure if it was doing 'prep' for the pending update?? Anyway, about 3PM decided to check and see, and sure enough there was an update. Downloaded and installed, and so far so good.

...the carrier has nothing to do with the update. For those of us with the unlocked versions, we're still waiting for the update to come directly from Samsung.
