I have only the default SMS app. "messages" Orange Icon with white text balloon.
I searched & found some similar posts from years ago. Some say Verizon removed the ability to block text messages to force you to buy their SMS blocking service.
IDK if this was or is true.
I usually get a spam text several times per week.
Recently I received many in ½ hour! Very annoying. They were part of a group. Telling each other to stop sending unsolicited texts. All the numbers were unfamiliar except they all ended with the same last 4 digits as MY cell #.
Spoofing?
How do I block texts? Do I need a different SMS app?
I have Calls Blacklist app but only blocks voice calls, not SMS.
I think it will allow me to block SMS if I set it to be the default SMS app.
Is there a better solution?
If I open the spam text & click the 3 dots in the upper right corner, there is no spam or black option.
