S8 Keeps Losing Lock and Home Screen

Hi

I have had an S8 for 6 months. This week I have experienced a strange error. Each morning I come to my phone and the lock screen has gone, this means I cannot use my pin to get to the home screen. Pressing where the home button should be does nothing.

The following do work; the power button, bixby button, side menu can be opened.

I have to fix it each day by jacking into the OS and doing a factory reset of the data and then rebooting then reconfiguring the phone from my back up. 3 mornings in a row now.

Oreo 8.0.0
UK phone unlocked on O2

Any clues?

Try a FDR -- Factory Data Reset -- I did so after the Oreo update and I actually think my Galaxy S8 runs better now than it did with Nougat.

At this point you have nothing to lose by doing another factory reset. Do not restore from backup. Set up as new phone.
