Question S8 keeps shutting off during data transfer.

S8 keeps shutting off during Smart switch transfer to new S23, any ideas what is going on or what I should do to fix? Tried Wi Fi and cable.

Are you trying to transfer everything all at once?

If so, try transferring over in smaller batches. I would test by transferring just your contacts & see if that works.

The only thing I would transfer is pictures and videos as the S8 setting are old to transfer to the newer device , if it's a year or 2 old then it's fine

Thanks for taking the time to answer. It was the apps. The new phone didn't support some of them. I actually ended up backing up the old phone to Samsung cloud and then restored on the new phone. The apps took a couple of tries, but finally finished. Thanks again!
