S8 mask question

I have the S8+ and the masks were used accidentally on some pics. Can these masks be removed from the pic taken and if so, how?

Unfortunately, nope. Once the mask is applied and the picture taken, it is permanently rendered to it. The only effects that can be tweaked after being taken are 'Live Focus' pictures (adjust or turn off the background blurr) and slow motion captures (edit slow motion segments or remove them altogether).
