S8 vs. Note 8

What will be the differences between the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and the Galaxy Note 8? As a Note 7 fan and owner (both of them), should I wait for the Note 8?

Obviously, for me - I used the S-Pen a lot on all my Notes, so that's Primary for me! As you said Amy, the Note 7s were awesome - that kinda' makes it a "no brainer" - I'm waiting for the Note 8!

Waiting for the Note 8 for sure. Not only for the s-pen but I feel it's going to have a better screen(4K) and more ram. I think Samsung will go all out for the next Note... Especially after the Note 7 fiasco.

I'm wondering the same thing. The note 7 was my first note. Loved it. Hadn't really got the hang of using the pen. And the pen is not really high on my want list. But anxious to know the specs on the note 8.
Maybe when the s8 is announced will hear more about the note.
May have to get a s8+.

I'm waiting for the Note. I jumped to the Pixel XL and it's a great phone but it isn't a Note. There are many things that I can't do or are much more difficult to do on this device. I can't wait!

Want the Note. I'm in Construction, and like marking up PDF's and Photos with the pen and sending them back out. BTW, the Note 7 was my first Note. I'm actually coming from BlackBerry. I preferred BB10 over Android, but that ship has sailed. To me, the Note is the best of the Android field.

I have an S7 Edge because I had to return my Note 7, TWICE!! man I miss that phone, it was amazing. I have had every Note that has come out except the Note 4 Edge, so it is safe to say that I will be waiting for the Note 8, unless there is a way I could get the S8+ and then the Note 8, hmmm........

Some like Lamborghini's and some Ferraris. The Galaxy S line of phones will most likely be great this year (All OEMs are stepping up to the plate) but I'll wait for my Note 8. Skipped the Note 5 and the Note 7 hadn't started selling in my country before being withdrawn. Yep it's been hard waiting for the Note 8. Very very hard.

The note 4 is nice for its removable battery but it is about 3 years old now

I'll wait for Note 8, still on my Note 4 as I didn't like the 5 and the 7 was recalled again before I got a chance to get one so waiting another 4-5-6 months wont make any difference plus I really do think Note 8 is going to be a serious piece of kit, Samsung really need to release something that blows all the competition away since the Note 7 failure

1) Larger Screen Size (S8+)
2) Larger Battery (S8+)

Otherwise, based on leaks, that seems to be the only difference. We may see some more difference when it officially launches but it looks like they will be running the same processors with the same RAM and storage capacities.

As for the Note 8, i haven't heard any rumours about it yet. But for owners coming from a Note 5 or most likely a Note 4. It will be a huge improvement. I'm sure the S-Pen will have some pretty awesome features packed in.

Isn't that the only difference on the S7/7edge: screen size (and one edge)? The specs on those phones interior Wise are the same I think
