S8 will not restart when screen is turned off

[Android Central Question]

If I turn my screen off it will not come back on. I can see a very faint but unusable screen image. If I plug in the charger I can fool around with it and get it to start up. It works normally if I don't turn off the screen or if I leave it on the charger. I tried a new battery but changing it did not cure the problem. Any ideas?

Possible screen issue, what about in safe mode?
