S9+ not quick charging

I just purchased my S9+ and everything was going well until I plugged it in to charge with the charger from the box and saw that it was not quick charging. I checked the settings and confirmed that it is set to quick charge, but I keep getting the notification to use the charger from the box (which I am using) for a quick charge. Anyone else having this issue?

I did last night for the first time so I unplugged the usb c connector from the phone turned the plug over and plugged it back in and it charged fine.

are you using the supplied cable as well as the charging block? if so, I would see if another samsung charger would work. if that doesn't, it could be a faulty port. hopefully it's just a janky block.
