So - now that we know all about the S9, are you going to pick one up, or are you a Note diehard preferring to wait for the launch of the Note 9?

Sound off in the thread and let me know what you think you'll do. Holding on to your current phone (if the S9 or S9+ didn't blow you away) is one option too, of course!

I think it really depends on what you need in a phone. if you have to have the s-pen, stick with the note. as for as size and performance they are pretty much equal now, so you aren't really missing out. also, if you have a Note8 now, then I'd say wait and get the next Note.

First of all of if its "just" the S9, I thinks it's a no brainier.
S9+ is a little bit of a different proposition I would say. Tougher call.

But a Note is a Note. I'll wait for the N9 ;)

Sticking with the Note8 because the S9 is not a Note.
Is the new Animoji or whatever they call it part of the new Oreo update? Will the Note8 and S8 get this feature with the update?

The spen is a game changer, even if you don't use it often it is really useful. I used to switch between the S line and the note but I think I am sticking with the note

If you have a decent and recent phone right now I would probably wait to see what the Note 9 brings to the table. S pen aside that is.

I need more of an upgrade that this. if the note 9 is a minimal upgrade, I'll wait past that too.

If i had to choose an incentive to switch from a Note8 to an S9+ it would be the S+ line bigger battery and the S9 new slow motion video capture feature but as nice as they may I always find myself waiting for the newest note device. So im sticking to the Note8 till september's newer Note reiteration.

I do not see anything on the S9 or S9+ to have me or others in the family upgrade from our note 8's or even the S8. And if this is the only type of upgrade on the N9, I would bypass also. Nothing that big of a deal in the 845 chip. We already have 6gig of memory in the N8. I really do not care about slow motion or stereo speakers. Now, if the note 9 got rid of the round corners I would change instantly.

I'll be holding on to my Note 8 until the Note 9 comes out. My wife will upgrade her S8+ to the S9+ since she is on the Sprint Galaxy Forever program.

I am waiting for note 9.I already own an s8 plus. And currently use note 8 from T mobile

S9 plus is a better phone than the Note 8 I think a lot of Note 8 users are butt hurt. the only Advantage the Note 8 has over the S9 plus is the spen. S9 plus is going to be much quicker better camera etc..

Debating here. Ilove my note, but now that Ihave a Tab S3, that also has the S pen...will see. Iknow I got my Note 8 with zero down, so I may wait to see if Tmobile offers that kind of special for J.O.D. folks.

I love the note line more than the s line personally. The s pen is great and I use it more than I thought I would.

"Better" is subjective. If a pen is important to me, then the S9 is not "better" to me. If someone laid an S9 and a Note 8 on the table and told me to grab whichever one I want to use, I'd pick up the Note because I actually use the pen. Also, I'm not seeing butt hurt Note 8 users. Pretty sure everyone expected the S9 to have upgraded specs over the S8/Note 8 line of 2017. It would be pretty pointless if they didn't. Who is butt hurt?

It's very subjective.
But the Note is a Note. It's always in a different league.

Of course a new S with the latest hardware is desirable.( I will probably get the 9 to play with )

But most note users will wait until the next note is released.
That's not the case with S users 6 months down the line.

And butthurt, lol are you 12? If so, the street lights are on and it's home time.
