So I probably sound like I am being a baby, but am I the only one waiting almost a month for their preorder? I ordered the afternoon of launch day, XL 🐼 128gb...and got a ship date of November 12-13. I ordered my wife's phone, black, XL 64 from ATT the NEXT DAY and she is going on her third full day with the device.

Is this a flaw in Google's supply chain, poor planning or extremely conservative production? I definitely thought by now they would have updated the shipping date to something sooner. I am seriously tempted to cancel and go to Best Buy or even my wife's carrier and ditch Goggle Fi. 😟😣☹️

Did you order directly from Google Fi or the Google store?

I only ask because I' on Fi and ordered from the Google store and picked that Fi was the carrier I was ordering for. I also wanted to know so I can avoid ordering directly from Fi in the future (if that's who you ordered from).

I ordered the same set up from the Google Store right at launch and mine is arriving tomorrow.

Yeah....I waited a hour or so...but that's my point...either they didn't make nearly enough, or it takes way longer than one would think to make devices. A month for a phone that you 'preorder' seems crazy to me.

I've ordered 2 Pixels and 2 Nexuses on launch day and there is always issues...I just think they don't know how to accurately anticipate demand so there's some that are ready to go right away and the rest they have to make up for which causes the delays.

I ordered the same configuration and for Fi like you did on launch and got mine yesterday. I did order right after the presentation. It does seem hard to believe it takes that long, but Google order have always been this way.

I thought they were past this, but guess not.

Lesson learned. And still 18 days to go...Lol 😣

Yeah the 128 GBs looks to be really backordered. Amazon screwed me with by 128 GB white 4 XL even though I ordered on launch day and they said it'll deliver on 23rd. They emailed on 23rd and said December 3rd lol.

I picked up the white 64GB 4 XL instead from best buy yesterday. Sucks it's only 64 GB version but better than waiting.

Same thing happened to me with Amazon, at first I ordered through the Google store right after launch Panda version 128 GB and then I seen the deal on Amazon for the $100 gift card and figure theres way more to buy on Amazon so I ordered from Amazon with a delivery date of the 23rd, that day about 2:30 in the afternoon they informed me that I have to approve the order and I wouldn't get it until November 15th to December 5th, I ended up going back on Google site and settling for the panda 64 gig version and received it yesterday but I also paid 18.99 for expedited shipping. And definitely not happy that it's the 64 gig but the same as you I did not want to wait I was impatient.

I have considered cancelation and reorder a couple times but decided to just wait. I am planning on keeping this phone for a while so I need 128gb. 15 more days to go....LOL

I'm sure you'll get it soon

You guys must be new to ordering new phones from the Google store.

Pre-order shipping from the Google store is notoriously bad. The last time I preordered a phone from the Google store was when the Nexus 6P came out. I waited a month after it's release date to get the phone even though I ordered it during the press event for it. for the first pixel, I ordered through Verizon and got the phone a day before it's actual release day. Google store purchasers waited about 3 weeks. it was the same deal with the pixel 2 and Pixel 3.

Google's hardware is amazing, they're shipping logistics is not. It will eventually get to you, but as you are realizing now not in a timely fashion.

I think it depends on what you order and the Fi seem to be notorious for delays. I ordered prelease unlocked for both 2XL and 3XL and always got it sooner than promised.

I have not ordered a phone in two years from the Google Store. Clearly they have some issues when the carrier can get a phone out in 3 days...and still has some they can ship (same configuration) but they aren't able to take care of their most loyal customers more quickly. I ain't really mad... frustrated is more accurate.

It's understandable that there is frustration but I'm sure the carrier stock is allocated up front. The same thing happens with Samsung and I'm sure other brands. That doesn't make it better but I think it's become the norm.

Seems like it always a hit or miss on any phone I order from Google on launch day. Or anyone that orders for that matter

I order the of Pixel as soon it it went live , missed the first round of shipped phones.

The Pixel 2 XL order panda and that color was in demand so it was later then others.

Pixel 4 XL Panda order a little while after the launch had started and was in the first round of shipments for the first time

Good news! Got an update on my order page, should be shipped November 5 or 6.
