Safe to use 29W MacBook charger?

I have a MacBook with a 29W power brick with usb-c. Is it safe to use? I know it's way more powerful than my phone will take but I want to make sure it's safe. I've had 2 cords plugged into my desk and want to get rid of one if possible.
