Samsing S3 - UNfortunatly, NFC service has stopped !!!

So my wife finally got the sprint update for the new OS and when she rebooted she get this NFC servie has stopped pop up that keeps coming back on screen

I have cleared cache and data's on Google apps and NFC service and rebooted but I get the same message
is there a easy solution aside to reset to factory to fix this problem ?

Help appreciated.

Sadly most likely not. It's highly recommended to do a factory reset if you encounter any problems after an update. Obviously not what you're looking for but it's the best solution.
