Samsung A3 text size increased. Unable to fix issue.

My phone has recently run out of battery. Upon doing so, I charged it. When it came back on, it said something along the lines of system ui no longer works.
After that, it said touch wiz home no longer works.
I should make a point that at that point everything on my screen was magnified.
Words were magnified but forced to fit in, however, the icons on the widget were not all able to fit on.
Upon clickling OK I'm forced into the lock screen. This is where the issue occurs. I can see the alarm icon, wifi icon, signal icon and battery all magnified. My background however has changed to white and I can't unlock it as the keyboard seems to be below where the screen will physically stop. I can physically restart it etc. and power id down by holding the power button and can screenshot. However, these are also magnified to the point where I can't read it all. I can do emergency calls i.e. click the numbers just about but can't physically see the dial button.
I tried putting it into recovery mode but it seemed to show on the top right then not show it at all. For some reason it has no issues with text size on the download mode so it seems to be a possible file corruption?
As I can't unlock it however, I can't upload any screenshots nor can I get into settings etc.
Is there any advice on what to do, i.e. alternative ways of hard resetting. I searched on the internet but KIES seemed to fail as did using hard reset via the google account.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you follow the steps here to get into Recovery Mode?

If that works, try selecting Wipe Cache Partition instead of Wipe Data/Factory Reset.

Re: Samsung A3 text size increased. Unable to fix issue.

Sorry, wasn't able to log in originally. Clickign these buttons when powered down occasionally shows the recovery symbol on the top left, but nothing actually happens after that meaning I can't access the menu.

Re: Samsung A3 text size increased. Unable to fix issue.

I did that with a 5.1 and I think it voided the warrenty doing that, and it kept the same issue. I got hold of two of them, but maybe it's worth switching from 5.1 to 4.4 and updating once it works? If it works that is...

Re: Samsung A3 text size increased. Unable to fix issue.

So did you root the device to begin with? Or did you just use Odin to install a different firmware? Are you certain you used the correct firmware for your exact model? The wrong firmware can cause various problems.

I had a differnt issue before from rooting, which I solved by unrooting. My phone remains unrooted. Warranty didn't actually change, i.e. knox.
Once I flashed again to solve this current issue, it changed to 0X1 which i bleives means it's voided now. I flashed using the correct model but not sure why it isn't working...

Did you get the firmware from SamMobile or somewhere else? There are often multiple firmwares that correspond with different variants of a phone. For some reason, I can't access the SamMobile.com/firmwares site at this time, but search for the A3 there and see if there are multiple versions.

THank you for your response as I know you must be busy.
Anyway, I used the original one from Samsung and when no cnahge occured, I switched to an unofficial one, which still has no change. D8

Sorry if double posting is nto allowed but I think I now know why this has happened.
Friend has done a prank where he's changed the DPI to 5000 to start when it restarts on my phone. What this means is that I can't even access it to change it back, if that is true.
Would this be consitent with the change
Is there a way to fix it. Please bear in mind, I can't type my password in, so anyway to access files on my phone?

FIRST: Find a new friend. You have no need for a "friend" who tampers with your expensive equipment.

Second, I'm not familiar with changing DPI if you can't access the screen correctly. Let me see if other Ambassadors might have an idea.

Re: Samsung A3 text size increased. Unable to fix issue.

No access to the phone then you have to go system level. Is the phone rooted?

Thank you for your replies. Sorry about the delay but I sent my phone to a shop, they wern't able to help they said.
I can't do the majority of methods as my phone is locked and I can't unlock it. I, don't have a samsung account, (which is very stupid) and android bridge isn't installed etc. I know my code, but ironically I can't unlock it because of the dpi, and I can't change it via source levels because I cna't access them until it's unlocked. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure my warrenty is now voided, I can't factory reset, I can't unlock it to change it?
Anyone want to guide me through getting through the locked phone part without being able to type it in?
I was thinking if the dpi is 5000 does that mean parts of it is off-screen? If I was to get a micro-usb mouse, and dragged it off the screen, would it be hitting the numbers there?
