My 18 yr old niece just payed $350 for a note 5 edge tmobile from craigslist and the person lied to her and must have sold her a boosted phone. As she sits crying in her room is there anyway to unlock this????

What exactly is coming up on the screen when you start the phone? Is it a 4 digit pic? Or does it have a message stating it's locked?

Also, there is no such phone as a Note 5 Edge.

This doesn't help you right now, but ALWAYS meet the person at your phone store of choice and don't give them any money until it has been activated. Contact the police but the reality is you are probably out $350 and don't have a phone that can be used.

I am not sure if you meant a Note 5 -- but there isn't even a Note 5 Edge device available. I would advise her to always meet the person at a carrier store to ensure the IMEI number is clean.
