samsung account?

I asked that same question before I got the phone :). From what I've seen, the only impact would be to Samsung Pay and items downloaded from Samsung's app store. Otherwise, I see no need.

I did, the themes are an excellent way to change stuff up.

If you also want to use findmymobile.samsung.com to remote access your phone, you'll need a Samsung account. Findmymobile allows you to track your device even if you turned location off on your phone. Pretty neat feature I found out a few days ago.

Yes, thank you for that. Had no idea that existed before you posted that link a day or so ago. There are also a few other bennies to the account I guess, and so far haven't seen that it's intrusive to any great degree.

Another feature I love is the fact you can lock Samsung Pay remotely. I know it's secured using my fingerprint or pin, but the ability to outright suspend it gives me some peace of mind if my phone is ever lost or stolen.

Awesome thanks!

Quite odd. The things you can do remotely seems to have gone down in options since a few days ago.

I had a ton of features but now it's down to 3 things. Hoping it's just down while Sammy is updating or something.

From the Lock website: "* For the latest Android versions, if the 'Remote controls' function is disabled, the functions will not work. This function is also country dependent".

That's why I was wondering if anyone else has Find my mobile in their security menu. I had a bunch of things I could do remotely literally 2 days ago. Verified everything worked and was very happy. Log in today and I only see 3 things. Haven't changed any settings, nothing is different about the phone from 2 days ago, so now I'm wondering what in the world happened.

Just read on a xda forum vzw disabled this so your forced to use theirs

Seriously... the words I wish to use right now to describe Verizon would get me instantly banned from the forums.
