Hi all! New to the site and just had a quick question, however the answer to this question was answered in another thread but I cannot figure it out.
I have a Samsung Behold II and recently downloaded Handcent SMS onto it, I now receive 2 notifications one from Handcent and another from the default Android SMS app. I don't want the notifications from the default SMS app. I know you are supposed to go to the default SMS app, hit menu, go to settings then disable notifications but its not that easy. When I hit menu and go to settings this is all I see in a list:
Text message
Picture message
Voice mail
Push message
Manage SIM card messages
None of which have an option for turning off notifications, what am I doing wrong here? I can't stand having to clear the notifications after every message.
