Samsung Calendar Not Syncing w/ Google Calendar

Recently the S calendar stopped syncing with Google calendar. This is a problem because we have customers that depend on seeing their jobs on our on-line Google calendar. Please don't suggest I switch to G calendar. My eyes like the Samsung calendar better. I have synced the calendar multiple times. I've cleared cache, restarted my phone. What else should I try that won't lose all my calendar entries?

also...I used to be able to just open the Google calendar and that would allow the S calendar to sync. That's not working anymore.
