Samsung Cloud Back Up

[Android Central Question]

Hi all

I currently have a Samsung S9+. I back up my files to Google Drive and also Samsung Cloud. However, I noticed when the Samsung Cloud backs up, it only backs up my camera photos and not any others such as screenshots or photos saved from the internet, social media etc.

When I go to Samsung Cloud back up and go to recently added, its just camera photos. Does anyone have any ideas please? I've paid extra for the 100GB cloud storage so space isn't an issue and its up to date.

It should back up anything you had in the gallery, but also Samsung going away and one drive is going replace it so don't know if that has anything to do with it at this time.

Hey, thanks for that. I did wonder why I couldn't reply!

Yeah, for some reason its only backing up camera shots, not everything in the gallery. When I go to the gallery, everything is included there.

Maybe ill try the convert to OneDrive option which keeps coming up. As far as I know the Google Drive/Photos back up is fine, but I like to have two just incase.

You go can also use smart switch and back up on the computer with it .

I'm hoping to upgrade to the S20 FE soon so just making sure everything is backed up, however I'll probably just link the two phones over that way to transfer the data.

Yeah, since this one drive thing , I've been making backups on smart switch on the computer which works identical to way Samsung cloud did

I sure am going to miss Samsung backing up my files for me.

Why are they stopping the service

I really don't want anything of mine backed up to anything to do with Microsoft.

I got a couple microsoft compiuters. I rarely ever turn them on.

Don't like Window products.

Use Smart Switch on the pc , it's basically the same except you have to plug into the computer instead of going through Samsung cloud on the device.
