I need help! I have a S9 plus unlocked model. Every morning I wake up to a failure message from the Samsung cloud saying that the cloud failed to backup due to lack of storage! As you can see from my photo I have plenty Of storage 14.98 available out of 15G.
What gives? I've tried to Google this but all they seem to solve is the Wifi issues with the cloud and not storage issues. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Ok, I'll try that.. another thing I noticed is that it's trying to sync my music. That may be part of the issue to. If I'm only allowed 15g my music alone is 19.2g. I unchecked the box to sync music and I'll make sure I'm signed in. We shall see... thanks

I had the identical situation as you, and after reading your first post I went in and double checked and discovered that my music was checked to sync. I unchecked it, and haven't seen the error since. Don't know yet if that's truly the issue.

Good Luck. I have had the same issue, however if I untick Music, in the Backup Data settings for Samsung Cloud, I get another notification the following day, and the setting is re enabled.

Excatly same issue on my S8+ for last few weeks. I untick music because I have about 30GB and then each morning I get the failed notification and 'music' has been ticked again. I then have to manually untick and backup.

Getting tiresome each morning. Must be a recent update as it was never a problem until a few weeks back.

Cheers

Same issue. Tried everything and it persists. It’s p.o.-ing me. Any solutions yet?

I have the same issue with backing up my music on my Galaxy Tab A so it's not just a issue for phones. It's a Samsung issue that most probably will never get fixed if they haven't fixed it in the past two years because this is how long it's been going on with me. Backups always failed practically from the moment I got the Tab if everything was checked. I have to back up my music seperately from everything else in order for it to get backed up which is why I now use an sd card and usb flash drives to keep my important stuff backed up. Samsung Cloud is a waste if you ask me.

I don't know how to fix it,but I may help you with some options to backup them!
First, you can back up data using your Google account on your Samsung S9.
Second, you can use Samsung assistant program to back up data on computer.
Third,SD card is also an option.

You have to back up your phone and do a factory reset. I had to do that with mine and it did end up working again. The Samsung Cloud and backing stuff up to the Samsung Cloud.

You can download Smart Switch from Samsung's website. And download the Smart Switch app.
