Little confused I pre-order the fold 3 512 unlocked for Samsung. At the time it only allowed me 100 credit to spend on the store. I thought it was supposed to be 200 credit no? I thought once I got the phone I would maybe get the other 100. Tho everytime I got to register this phone it gives me an error.

Because the other $100 was used for your 512 GB memory upgrade. I know Samsung was very deceptive in the way they marketed the memory upgrade

There was also a promo code EPROMOTERMEM which took further $100 off the total price but either way $100 from your pre order credit was used for the memory upgrade from 256GB to 512GB

Ok that makes sense why they 512 was the same price.

Idk if I would call it deceptive as it clearly stated that you would be using 100 of your 200 if you just the 512gb. Also I think it was pretty nice of them to allow you to use some of your credit towards the device when normally you have to use it on accessories or tablets/watches. At least with using the 100 on the phone you were able to get a higher storage without coming out of pocket more than you would've for the base model.

I used the $100 to upgrade storage since I didn’t really need anything then ended up with Buds 2 with the other $100…plus I used the code posted for another $100 off phone worked out good …

Yeah I'm fine with it as well and glad they allowed me to use part of the credit for memory upgrade. But I think I have seen many people having this question, so definitely there was room for improvement. No confusion from my end since I was trying multiple combinations/coupons etc to find the best deal possible

There is a trade off, I went with 512GB because i didn't really care much for $200 gifts. I use the $100 was given and got the 20,000 mAH battery.
