Samsung Dex - anyone?

Anyone tried the Samsung Dex setup with your phone? I saw some interesting Youtube videos on this. Looks interesting. Is there a simple TV monitor that doesn't require plugging into a wall AC? For example, maybe powered via a portable external battery?

About a decade ago, I used to have a Motorola Droid phone and bought a piece of junk Motorola phone docking station for $200. I don't want to make the same mistake, haha.

I've used this in all my DeX-capable devices (currently mostly being used on the Tab S4), and although it said it needed power to work (and I always used it that way with prior phones), I accidentally plugged it into the Tab S4 without the charger and was still able to use DeX on a TV. Now, this might be due to the tablet and not the adapter itself, but who knows. Either way it's a very cheap alternative.
