samsung galaxy 3 reboot problem

because my charger port is broken i use an external battery charger,after using my phone the night before i tried turning it on the next morning and all it gets to is initial screen (saying galaxys3) sorry do not know all the proper jargon,anyway have tried to reboot,factory reset and nothing works just takes me back to as said before initial screen....in red it says E:failed to mount/system (invalid argument)i cannot use my charger port so wot do i do please help
