Android Central Question

When I woke up this morning I didnt charge my phone so it's whatever, I go plug it in at 1%. It was able to charge for a few % but it eventually gave me your device is overheating. I felt the charger port of the charger and that thing was super hot, almost unbareable to touch. I tried charging my other phone to see if the charger was maybe the problem but it was not. Now currently whenever I plug the charger into the phone charging port it doesn't charge and even if the charger cable in the phone for a few seconds the charging cable component is blazing hot. With the few % i had left I turned on my phone to see what it said, give me both overheating message at first and one about moisture later. How should I go about fixing this problem? Take it to a shop for a look? Let it sit for awhile to see if it cools down?

Your charging brick is pulling its max amps and is the weak link.
Use a 2.1amp or higher charger into the USB, not wireless. Zeroing out your battery is the problem. Avoid it in the future.

The phone got wet (probably from condensation), so something shorted, so it's pulling way too much current. Drying the phone may help (since condensation is almost pure water), but give it a few days in a stable and dry environment before trying to charge it again. Then, if it starts warming up after a minute, unplug it and give it another few days. (Rice may help, but moisture from condensation is already at the point rice would get the phone to. Alcohol may make it faster, if you're willing to try. See Oh, no! My Phone got Wet!)
