hi guys i got a new phone yesterday and i set it up and kies found a update all was well working nicely but when i went to go into recovery and tried to clean the cache partition so i clicked that and it said erasing then error :/ dose anyone know what this means or what i can do to fix it? :/

Did you buy the phone brand new from a retailer, or used? Or from eBay? Maybe someone rooted it before and did something that interferes with the normal cache wipe process.

could i not just install the software via kies? see if that fixes it if so ill update tonight
