Samsung galaxy ace turning off randomly?

My samsung galaxy ace keeps turning itself off even when im not using it, it will just turn off for no reason and when i try and find out why it has, i cant find anything. One thing i have found though is that when i click on something on the settings it says that something called cell standby is using up 53% of the battery, does anyone know what that is as i am confused and would like my phone to stay on or is it just a faulty phone that i cant fix.

Welcome to Android Central! Is it completely powering down on its own? Is the phone getting overly warm? Is it shutting down even though the battery has plenty of charge left?

Cell standby can use an increased amount of battery if the cell signal is poor, because the phone has to expend more energy to stay connected to the signal. What is your signal like?

It may also be worth trying a new battery.
