To me anything over 220 ppi is nice. The Xperia Tablet Z I had for a while only had a ppi of 224 and was just fine. My Note 8.0's 189 ppi is a little low...text could be a bit sharper.

Depends on what you need it for, I love to watch movies so I need it to be sharp. TVs have a really low ppi but you're far away when you look at them so it's not as noticeable. My iPad for example is bad, even in 720P I can see pixels

It's the same screen resolution as the 10.1 2014, just 2.1 inches larger. The rest of the specs are pretty much identical to the 10.1 except the CPU is 2.4 instead of 1.9 (versus the Note 3 is 2.3). I hope it's not a huge price jump.

Ya know, I'm actually satisfied with my '14 Note 10.1. Bigger/heavier/lower-ppi isn't always better.
