Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 tipped for MWC 2014

Why is it that we must wait? Why is it that Samsung cannot announce the tablet, formally today, and have it in stores by this time next week. This waiting thing is for the birds. :(

Still in two minds on 10.1 or 12.2..something about getting 10.1 for Christmas ha

To me, 12.2 is pushing it as far as a size I'd want to carry around, especially since Samsung isn't known for make the lightest of devices. ...but I won't judge how sweet the fruit is until it's been plucked from the tree.

Thats the thing if I get it..this will just stay at home for me.

I'm not sure what devices you have, but my S4 and 10.1 2014 ed are 2 of the lightest devices I've ever used

I have an LG G Pad 8.3, G2, and Nexus 5. Very lightweight devices indeed.

The Galaxy S4 actually weighs the same as the Nexus 5 at 4.59 oz which is lighter than the G2, and even though the Note 10.1 2014 Edition has a 2 inch bigger screen than the G Pad, it doesn't even weigh a half pound more. Not sure what too heavy is for you, but these are some very small differences.

The weight is definitely as issue. I can't see how they can get it significantly under 2lbs. If it were like 1.5lbs, I'd be tempted. But after seeing the Note 10.1's 299ppi screen, I could not go back down to 247ppi. Also, the rumored price is just too much. I'm not spending $800 for a tablet.

Its not that I wouldn't spend $800 on a tablet its just that there would have to be an exceedinly compelling reason to do so...for me a 12.2" screen doesn't present such a reason.

That's true. If, say, it were 12" and under 1.5 lbs with a 299 ppi screen, I would gladly pay $800 for it. But that's not what we're getting.
