Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Location Services Turns Off When Incoming Calls Are Received

Hi All-

Quick question regarding the Note 3. Is the Location Services feature supposed to turn off when I receive an incoming cell call? I used to own an Apple iPhone 5, and noted that I could run my GPS and associated software (TomTom) without issue while taking cell calls. I see that it appears that the GPS shuts off when I receive incoming calls, and I must turn it back on at the conclusion of said calls. Can't the Note 3 handle both at the same time, like the iPhone?
