I just got my Note 3 today.
Yay!!!!

I still have my Note 2, and I was comparing them and all that. I noticed that the Camera on the GN3, doesn't give me the liberty to customize the settings like in the GN2.

I am talking about the ISO.
What to do!?!!

I'm having the exact same problem! GN2 pics are MUCH brighter. It might be our phones, the cameras could be faulty. I'm exchanging my phone this week for a 2nd one.

Did either of you take the plastic cover off of the camera lens? It's really easy to miss because it doesn't overhang so you can see the edges.

I looked at mine and can't tell if one is there or not, can't feel anything... :)

I did. But the thing is. It does take wonderful pics if it's bright. But when I try to use it in a dark room, the flash does not help at all. But with GN2 I can adjust the individual settings and all that. With the GN3, it needs to be set to one of the modes, which I don't wanma use (with the exception of drama shot and eraser thingy).

It does but you have to turn smart stabilization off.

Thanks! I'll try this one. :)

Edit:

YOU ARE A GENIUS!
Without the Image Stabilization, I can customize the settings! Man. I would NEVER have figured that out. Thanks again!
