I have a Google Cardboard made out of plastic that I modified and it works great but will jump right into the Gear VR if I could find one.

It is awesome just using the Google Cardboard. You are like spinning around and ducking and it is way cool. Like you are in it, when you take it back off you better be sitting down. Kind of like stepping out of some weird carnival ride mixed with some awesome vertigo.

I got it yesterday, ordered it from the Samsung site. It's amazing, that's the only word I can think to describe it.

Not blurry for me - except the 360 videos which are soft (not sharp) due to compression. This device is a Godsend!

You're a better man than me. I could not wait. In fact I had it sent overnight shipping last week. I can't explain the experience adequately. It's like looking into the future. My wife was pissed at "another gadget". I put it on her head and now she insists on having her own...

I've gotten into ripping my 3D movies and it's pure pleasure. I'll have to see whether I'm brave enough to wear it on a flight... ;-)

I ordered it early morning. Can wait to receive it. I also ordered Google Cardboard and received it today. I cant help but think that as awesome are Cardboard it, VR will be way better.

Yea Buddy, My Gear VR is on the way now! Free shipping cause I have the plastic Google Cardboard to pacify me until it arrives in a couple days(it does work well).

I am using a Motorola BT mouse for input, anyone using something else?

So now we need some links to cool downloads and movies and such for the Gear VR. Anybody have some to put up here?

bbb, full on 3d like the Gear VR would be really difficult to implement. The full 360 degree thing is illustrated very well here:

Use all the Cardboard apps, I started with Google Cardboard because I could not get the Gear VR. Now that I have the Gear VR I use the cardboard apps and don't plug in the USB, for me works fine.

Try the 2014 Sidney New Years app. Run the app and pull the menu down, select 360° and start a video, tap the little cardboard icon when the video starts, slip the Note 4 in the Gear VR but put the USB away from the plug. I use a BT mouse to control things.
